Located 11 miles northwest of Gainesville, TX, Moss Lake is a 1,190 acre lake fed by fish creek and nestled among rolling hills and beautiful trees. The 1460 ft earthen and riprack rock dam was completed in 1966. The maximum lake depth is 60 feet with an average of 21 feet.
The shoreline is privately owned with two public use boat ramps and fishing piers. The lake is stocked with bass, crappie, channel catflis and red-ears..
